That was ugly.
The No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide destroyed the No. 3 Michigan State Spartans 38-0 on Thursday night in the Cotton Bowl. And as you can tell by the score, this one was never in doubt.
The Crimson Tide did take a little bit of time to warm up offensively, but they were unstoppable once they did.
With Alabama up 10-0 at the start of the second half, Calvin Ridley added on seven more points when he caught a controversial touchdown pass from quarterback Jake Coker.

That play didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, though, as the Crimson Tide kept pouring it on with a punt return TD, another Ridley touchdown catch and a Henry run into the end zone.
Alabama now faces No. 1 Clemson, which won the Orange Bowl earlier in the day, in the national championship Jan. 11.
