NESN's Adam Pellerin was at the grand opening Thursday of the newest CarMax location in Norwood, Mass., where he came away a big winner.
Pellerin competed in a road rally at the opening with WAAF's Danielle, Boston.com's Eric Wilbur and David O'Leary from Magic 106.7, while WZLX's Pete McKenzie hosted. The rally consisted of three events -- parallel parking, stuffing a trunk with packages and guessing the make, model, color and year of a car.
Each contestant picked a charity, which automatically received $1,000. Since Pellerin won, his charity, Ronald McDonald House in Providence, received an extra $1,000.
