Day 2 of the Major League Baseball winter meetings was a snoozefest. Until it wasn't.

While things were relatively quiet for much of Tuesday, a flurry of activity occurred after dark, with Shelby Miller going to the Arizona Diamondbacks, Starlin Castro going to the New York Yankees and Ben Zobrist signing with the Chicago Cubs. It set the stage for an interesting Day 3.

There weren't many deals Wednesday afternoon, but there were some intriguing rumors percolating down in Nashville, Tenn. Philadelphia Phillies closer Ken Giles, Cincinnati Reds slugger Todd Frazier and a trio of Colorado Rockies outfielders were among those mentioned in the rumblings.

So, what was the biggest move that actually happened? And what was the juiciest rumor? NESN.com's Ricky Doyle breaks down those topics, plus provides his Day 3 winner and loser, in the video above.
