A Chipotle restaurant in Boston is responsible for making several players on the Boston College men's basketball team sick.
One person you would expect to be disappointed at this news is Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge. He is believed to frequent Chipotle, including the one that's a short drive from the Celtics' practice facility in Waltham.
Ainge was asked about the recent controversy surrounding the fast-food chain during his weekly appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Toucher & Rich" morning show on Thursday. He didn't hesitate to make a quick joke.
He's probably right about that -- avoiding long lines usually is difficult at most Chipotle locations, but this outbreak probably will make these restaurants less crowded, at least for a while.
As for Ainge's most important concern, the Celtics, they are doing just fine. The C's have won six of their last eight games entering Friday night's showdown with the undefeated Golden State Warriors.
