The Boston Bruins were tired, both physically and mentally, after flying cross-country to return from a five-game road trip.

While coach Claude Julien acknowledged that the exhaustion certainly played a factor in the Black and Gold's 3-2 loss to the Nashville Predators on Monday night, he also was sure to point out that the team needs to play smarter.
