Bill Belichick respects his former players no matter what their current allegiances are.

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins, who now plays for the New York Jets, was carted off the field with a calf injury during Sunday's matchup between the AFC East rivals. But before Thompkins left, his former head coach made sure to shake his hand.

But karma didn't work in Belichick's favor this time. Thompkins inexplicably came back in the game, and the Jets went home with a 26-20 win in overtime after Belichick made a strange decision to kick off in the extra frame.
