What a game that was.
If you're a fan of offense and shootouts (and let's be honest: who isn't?), the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints game was your own personal paradise.
The two teams combined for 101 points on 13 touchdowns. The 101 points was the third-highest total in NFL history, while the 13 touchdowns set an NFL record.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees also tied an NFL record with seven passing touchdowns on 40 of 50 passing with 511 yards. Brees fell 43 yards short of tying the single-game passing yards record of 544 yards.
Brees also set the NFL record for most career games with six or more touchdown passes with his tenth, breaking a tie with Peyton Manning.
Eli Manning threw for 350 yards with six touchdowns, including three to Odell Beckham Jr. ODB nearly tied an NFL record of his own.
Despite all the offense, the game was decided by a field goal -- the first of the game attempted by either team. Saints kicker Kai Forbath drilled a 50-yarder as time expire to give New Orleans a 52-49 walk-off win.
