The New England Patriots might have dodged a very costly bullet when it comes to tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski left Sunday night's loss to the Denver Broncos with a knee injury. Although the hulking tight end was carted off the field after having his legs taken out from underneath him, it doesn't sound like he suffered a major injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Monday morning that Gronkowski is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday, and a source told Schefter "We think he is going to be OK."

This report just seems to reinforce multiple reports that surfaced shortly after the Patriots-Broncos game ended. Both Schefter and NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that the Patriots didn't believe Gronkowski's knee injury to be serious.

Gronkowski also was seen walking from the X-ray room Sunday night without any real noticeable limp and was also spotted inside the Patriots locker room walking around after the game.

However, they likely won't know for sure until Gronkowski undergoes his MRI.
