Deflategate is far from over, but it appears the New England Patriots won't have to deal with any further developments until after the season -- no matter how long it lasts.
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York will hear the NFL's oral arguments regarding their appeal of Tom Brady's suspension on March 3, 2016, according to Reuters.
U.S. District Court judge Richard Berman vacated Brady's four-game suspension back in September, and the NFL acted quickly by immediately appealing Berman's ruling.
The reported March 3 date is good news for the Patriots. The circuit court said in September it could hear the NFL's appeal as early as Feb. 1, six days before Super Bowl 50, but the later date eliminates the possibility that the Patriots, who enter Monday night's game against the Buffalo Bills with a perfect 9-0 record, would have to deal with another Deflategate-related distraction during Super Bowl week.
