FOXBORO, Mass. -- Jamie Collins wasn't back at practice Wednesday, but the New England Patriots linebacker could be getting closer to a return.
It appeared Collins, who hadn't been spotted at Gillette Stadium since Nov. 8 because of an illness, had been at his locker in the Patriots' facility. His chair was unfolded, and he had a backpack by his locker.
Cornerback Justin Coleman (hand) and wide receivers Matthew Slater (unknown), Aaron Dobson (ankle) and Julian Edelman (foot( also didn't participate in Wednesday's walk-through.
Receiver Danny Amendola, who reportedly suffered a sprained knee Sunday night in the Patriots' 20-13 win over the Buffalo Bills, was present for the unpadded practice, but he appeared to be wearing a brace on his left knee.
