As Dale Earnhardt once said: Second place is just the first loser.
Apparently the Indianapolis Colts missed that memo when they raised their "2014 AFC Finalist" banner this offseason -- though they only finished in the top four, anyway.
Still, it seems someone finally recognized how ridiculous that banner was. It's even more ridiculous in the wake of Indy's 3-4 start in which at times they've looked utterly incompetent. ESPN's Mike Tirico recognized as much during the "Monday Night Football" pregame show before the Colts took on the Carolina Panthers.
But, hey, at least they tried.
