The Boston Bruins haven't fared well at TD Garden so far this season, but Saturday night's 3-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings was a step in the right direction.

The Bruins got a solid outing from goalie Tuukka Rask, and the offense added three goals in the second period to secure the victory.

"Especially those first 40 minutes were good," coach Claude Julien said on "Bruins Overtime Live" after the game. "They came out hard in the third, and you expect that from that team. ... Overall, I think our guys handled it well. We need more of those types of efforts, at home especially."
