Gronk's gonna Gronk ... but he apparently started doing so long before he was spiking touchdown passes from Tom Brady.

CBS aired video of 5-year-old Rob Gronkowski laying the hammer on a piñata during the "Thursday Night Football" matchup between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins.

Gronk, seemingly twice the size of his young classmates even then, showed off his terrific hand skills by grabbing a large bag of candy as it fell out, as well as most of the other good stuff.

Something things just never change, as evidenced by the way he dominated the Dolphins on this touchdown in the first quarter Thursday.

It's Gronk's world, we're all just living in it.
