Ronda Rousey is the best women's fighter in the world today and probably ever. She's torn through the UFC with a 12-0 professional record in the MMA world, and has won world championships and Olympic medals in judo.

But a boxer she is not, which is why fans of the forgotten American sport are up in arms over Rousey's newest magazine cover: The Ring.

Hailed as the self-proclaimed "Bible of Boxing," The Ring has been in publication since 1922. Rousey will be just the second female to grace its cover, but the first MMA fighter smiling back from newsstands when the January, 2016 edition hits shelves.

As one Facebook commenter noted: "Just in 'Next month Kanye West will be on the cover of the Ring'"

We're going to let you finish, Facebook commenter, but Rousey is the greatest female fighter of all time. And considering how easy UFC is becoming, we wouldn't be shocked to see Rousey taking a shot in the sacred ring some time in the future, as the cover story suggests.

It's not the first time Rousey is making similar waves: Earlier this month she became the first woman on the cover of "Men's Fitness" in Australia.

Rousey has taken over. It's time to get used to it.
