The New England Patriots are always working on making their team deeper, but they also seem to have an affinity for getting under the Indianapolis Colts' skin.

The Pats reportedly worked out former Colts running back Daniel "Boom" Herron on Monday, per ESPN's Mike Reiss. Indy waived-injured Herron on Sept. 6 after the running back injured his shoulder returning a kickoff in the Colts' final preseason game.

Herron started just three games for the Colts last season, but he appeared in all 16 regular-season games. The 26-year-old ended the season with 78 rushes for 351 yards and one touchdown to go along with 173 receiving yards on 21 catches.
