The Columbus Blue Jackets are shaking things up in a big way.
The Blue Jackets reportedly fired head coach Todd Richards on Wednesday after a horrific 0-7-0 start to the season. They'll replace him with veteran head coach John Tortorella, TSN's Darren Dreger reported.
The Blue Jays became the first team since the 1997-98 Chicago Blackhawks to start the season 0-7-0 after they were dismantled in a 4-0 shutout loss at home to the New York Islanders on Tuesday night.
Columbus will be Tortorella's fourth stop. He most recently coached the Vancouver Canucks for the 2013-14 season, going 36-35-11 and missing the playoffs. Tortorella was fired after the season.
