The betting line on Thursday night's game between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans shifted Thursday morning in favor of the Titans. We now know why.
NFL Media's Ian Rapoport cited a source saying backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck went to Houston expecting to start in place of the injured Andrew Luck. Hasselbeck got the start last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as Luck was forced to the sideline with a shoulder injury.
According to Rapoport, Luck will test the shoulder pregame by throwing, but Hasselebeck is expected to make the start against Houston. As Rapoport also pointed out, there are health concerns surrounding Hasselbeck, too. The 40-year-old reportedly went to the hospital for an IV due to an illness last week. Hasselbeck was listed as questionable on Wednesday's injury report but was also listed as a full participant.
