FOXBORO, Mass. -- A starting offensive lineman returned to practice for the New England Patriots on Friday.
Rookie left guard Shaq Mason was back on the field after missing Wednesday and Thursday's practices with a knee injury. Mason had a brace on his right knee and appeared limited in his return to the field.
Defensive end Jabaal Sheard (ankle), offensive tackle Marcus Cannon (toe) and pass rusher Rufus Johnson (illness) remained out of practice.
Running back Brandon Bolden and wide receiver Keshawn Martin were on the field despite being added to the injury report Thursday with hamstring ailments.
It's unlikely Mason, Sheard, Cannon or Johnson will play Sunday against the New York Jets.
