1:50 p.m. ET: The New England Patriots' starting running back reportedly will be back on the field Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins.
Dion Lewis is playing in the Week 8 matchup, a source told NFL Media's Ian Rapoport. Lewis played in Week 6 after being questionable with an abdomen then sat out in Week 7 with the same designation. Lewis is listed as questionable again this week.
Lewis played 39 total snaps in Week 6 but received limited touches, carrying the ball just four times for 21 yards and catching three passes for 18 yards against the Indianapolis Colts. James White took his spot in the offense Sunday against the New York Jets, playing 43 snaps, carrying the ball twice for 4 yards and catching three passes for 26 yards.
Lewis started the first five games of the season for the Patriots and has four carries for 201 yards with 26 catches for 256 yards. He has three total touchdowns in the young season.
