Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett made a poor decision and now will face the consequences.
The 20-year-old sophomore was arrested Saturday morning for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. Eleven Warriors was the first to report the story, which was later confirmed by ESPN and other media outlets.
Ohio State has confirmed the arrest and suspended Barrett for next week's Big Ten conference matchup against Minnesota, per ESPN's Mark Schlabach.
The No. 1-ranked Buckeyes (8-0) currently are on a bye week.
Barrett took over the starting quarterback job from Cardale Jones before last week's 49-7 win over Rutgers. Barrett scored five touchdowns (three through the air, two on the ground) against Rutgers.
