Everything was working against the Royals.

Kansas City was only two innings away from clinching a second straight trip to the World Series with a victory in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series, but the Toronto Blue Jays had different plans.

Jose Bautista tied the game up with a two run homer -- his second home run of the day. But Lorenzo Cain made sure there wouldn't be a Game 7 with some heads up base running in the bottom of the eighth inning after a 45-minute rain delay. Cain never stopped running on a Eric Hosmer single, and he somehow managed to score all the way from first on the play.

That run was the difference in the Royals' 4-3 win.

The Royals will now face the New York Mets in the World Series.
