Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell received some great news Thursday.
Farrell, who was diagnosed with Stage 1 lymphoma Aug. 14, underwent post-treatment testing Wednesday at Massachusetts General Hospital. The tests revealed Farrell's cancer was in remission.
"I am extremely thankful for the outpouring of support I have received from the Red Sox, my family, friends, and fans throughout this process," Farrell said, according to a press release. "I am also especially thankful for the talented doctors who cared for me in Detroit and here at MGH. I look forward to getting back to work and bringing another championship back to Boston."
