CLEVELAND -- Brock Holt went down with an injury in the Boston Red Sox's second-to-last game.
Holt exited Saturday night's game against the Cleveland Indians in the seventh inning after being struck on the left knee by a pitch from Corey Kluber.
Holt, who turned his body in an attempt to avoid Kluber's offering, hit the ground immediately after being struck. He rolled around in obvious pain before returning to his feet, at which point the super utility player was helped off the field.
Holt started as Boston's designated hitter Saturday with David Ortiz out of the lineup. Allen Craig replaced Holt as the No. 6 hitter in the Red Sox's order following the injury.
