FOXBORO, Mass. -- Someone paid good money to fly a banner over Gillette Stadium that no one seems to understand.

Two hours before the New England Patriots played the New York Jets on Sunday, a plane flew over the stadium carrying a banner that read "CLINTONS - PATRIOTS - OJ!"

Perhaps it was some intrepid Jets fans who thinks all three parties got away with ... something? It seems more than a little odd to compare a cheating scandal involving deflated footballs to murder, but taste usually goes to the wayside when it comes to fan interaction in NFL rivalries.

Perhaps someone should remind New Yorkers that a Jets cheating scandal actually helped Patriots quarterback Tom Brady get off in Deflategate. The Patriots also don't have a first-round draft pick next year, a fourth-round pick in 2017 and $1 million because of Deflategate, so they didn't really get away with anything.
