BOSTON -- The Bruins made their first round of roster cuts Thursday, trimming 10 players from their training camp contingent.
Forwards Colby Cave and Colton Hargrave were assigned to the team's American League Hockey affiliate in Providence, and it was announced that Andrew Cherniwchan, Max Everson, Matt Ginn, Max Iafrate, Eric Neiley and Frankie Simonelli would join them at P-Bruins training camp, which opens Sunday.
2015 draft picks Zach Senyshyn and Jeremy Lauzon also were returned to their junior teams in the OHL and QMJHL, respectively. Senyshyn was the first of the Bruins' three first-round selections to be cut.
The Bruins host the New York Rangers on Thursday in their third game of the preseason.
