Eduardo Rodriguez has been great on the mound for the Boston Red Sox, but he hasn't been perfect. However, interim manager Torey Lovullo said that's all part of the growing process.

The 22-year-old lefty had 10 quality starts in 17 outings ahead of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies, but he's also had a handful of rough ones. Not to mention, the Red Sox will take it easy with Rodriguez to end the season, as he's already surpassed his innings limit.

But Lovullo isn't concerned about any of that.

"We have to have patience with young players," Lovullo said. "If we didn't, there'd be no evolution of a young player. And you can see what it's done -- how that's come with some of our other young players. They're evolving together. So, he's right in that mix, and he's been fine."
