FOXBORO, Mass. -- Donald Trump did not hold back his support for New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady as he fought his four-game suspension for his alleged role in Deflategate. Now the signal caller is returning the favor.
Brady is on record saying Trump is a good friend, and that the two like to play golf together. He took that support a step further Wednesday when asked if Trump has what it takes to win the presidency.
"I hope so. That would be great," Brady said. "There would be a putting green on the White House lawn. I'm sure of that."
Trump, who is prepping for the Republican debate Wednesday night, expressed his thanks for Brady on Twitter.
