Eli Manning is about to be a lot richer.
The New York Giants quarterback reportedly is on the verge of a monster contract extension that would put him among the league's highest paid QBs, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Pro Football Talk added insight on the hold up.
If true, Manning's contract would make him the fourth-highest paid quarterback in the NFL in terms of average annual value at exactly $21 million, meaning he'd make more than both his older brother Peyton ($17M) and Patriots QB Tom Brady ($9M).
The three in front of him? Aaron Rodgers ($22M), Russell Wilson ($21.9M) and Ben Roethlisberger ($21.85M). That's impressive company. No pressure, Eli.
