Kevin Love apparently missed the memo this summer when the viral "What are those?" Vines started circulating.

Though the Cleveland Cavaliers' All-Star forward didn't show up with goofy-looking shoes, he was rocking a new fashion statement that took the media -- and internet -- by storm: A perm.

Love seemingly had some fun with the questions about the new 'do.

To be fair, it might not actually be a perm -- his curls probably would be a lot tighter. Take it from someone with similarly difficult hair who was constantly asked if he got a perm growing up.

It seems hairdos are the buzz of Media Days this year -- Celtics Marcus Smart and Jared Sullinger delivered a funny back and forth last week due to their haircuts.
