The defending Super Bowl champions lost Sunday, according to ESPN.
Yes, the "Worldwide Leader" incorrectly labelled the Seattle Seahawks, not the New England Patriots, as the defending champs on the site's homepage after the 'Hawks were upset 34-31 in overtime by the St. Louis Rams.
This certainly will irk Patriots fans, many of whom already believe ESPN has it out for the Patriots, especially after the network's Spygate report published earlier in the week and its questionable coverage of the Deflategate saga throughout the offseason.
There could be a positive, however, because it could provide even more bulletin board material for an already highly motivated Patriots team.
