Preparation for the 2016 season has already started for the Boston Red Sox.

President of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski is hard at work evaluating the team's needs, including a new general manager. But he is in no hurry to fill that void.

"I have not started anything on the general manager position other than have a list compiled," Dombrowski said on 'Red Sox First Pitch" before Boston took on the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday. "I'm trying to get some of these other things done because what I'm trying to do is when that all happens -- and if you go outside the organization to interview, a lot of those clubs are in the middle of their pennant races and all that."
