Cristiano Ronaldo never tires of scoring goals. If he had, we wouldn't mark yet another milestone in his career.
Ronaldo scored his 500th goal as a professional player on Wednesday in Real Madrid's UEFA Champions League visit to Malmo.
Ronaldo gave his team the lead when he raced behind the defense and beat the goalkeeper with his usual authority.
UEFA led the chorus of applause for Ronaldo immediately after his goal.
Ronaldo, 30, opened his professional account on Oct. 7, 2002 when he scored for Sporting CP against Real Betis. After nearly 13 years, he passed the five-century mark.
Here are a couple breakdowns of Ronaldo's 500 goals.
Ronaldo also extended his Champions League record goal haul with his strike against Malmo. He now has scored 81 times in European soccer's elite competition. Injured Barcelona star Lionel Messi is second with 77.
It's your world, Ronaldo. The rest of us are just living in it.
