The Denver Broncos are well aware that their quarterback is one of the biggest pitch men in all of sports.
Peyton Manning is known not only as one of the NFL's most prolific passers of all time, but the future Hall of Famer is also known for never being one to turn down the opportunity to be a spokesperson. From insurance to satellite TV there's not a whole lot he won't try to sell.
That includes pizza, of course, which Manning has shown for years as part in his Papa John's commercials. So it probably shouldn't come as much of a surprise that Manning's teammates refer to him as "Papa John."
Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak gave out the game ball following the Broncos' Thursday night win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and as it became clear Manning was going to get it, a chorus of "Papa John" calls started.
We just wish he could have somehow got the Nationwide jingle into his brief pregame speech, though.
