Sometimes, you just need to get back to basics.

Joe Kelly has struggled for much of the Boston Red Sox's 2015 campaign, but he's been on fire recently. The right-handed hurler is 4-0 in his last four starts with an impressive 1.82 ERA, allowing just five runs over 24 2/3 innings while striking out 20 batters.

So what's been the difference between the Kelly we saw earlier in the season and the dominant pitcher we've seen over the past month? Former Red Sox knuckleballer Tim Wakefield believes it's all in the mechanics.

"I think he's made some changes mechanically," Wakefield told Tom Caron on "Red Sox First Pitch" before Kelly's outing Saturday against the New York Mets. "He looks very solid, looks like he's staying down the line longer, and I think his pitch selection has gotten a lot better."
