He blasted three home runs and tallied nine RBI in a 15-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday afternoon. Encarnacion's first homer, a three-run shot to left field, extended his hit streak to 24 games. It's the longest hit streak for a Blue Jays player since Scott Rolen's 25-game run in 2009. Encarnacion now has 29 homers on the season, which ranks ninth in the American League. Toronto has hit 709 home runs this season, 105 more than any other MLB team. The Blue Jays also have 21 10-homer games, nine more than the second-place Texas Rangers.
