Blake Swihart's inside-the-park home run couldn't have come at a better time for the Boston Red Sox.

The New York Mets had fought their way back to force extra innings, but Swihart made sure the game wouldn't last too much longer thanks to his homer.

"I think I was in-between first, or close to first at least, going to second," Swihart said on "Red Sox Final" after Boston's 6-4 win Friday. "I thought it had gotten over because of the way it bounced back. but I just kept my head down and running."
